Walang Dapat Ikahiya
Walang Dapat Ikahiya
A painting inspired by defying taboos, and embracing your true self.
Having tattoos in the Philippines are still quite taboo and being frowned upon, specially in the provinces- same response to unusual career choices too—if it’s not in the medical, engineering, or accounting field—it’s not a career your family would encourage you to take (but hey! They just wish you a better future, in the way they know).
This painting shows my feelings about it, closing your eyes to people's opinions and unhelpful criticisms, and embracing your true calling as long as it does not cause any injustice nor inconvenience to anyone; because you can make it work—and if it doesn’t then we keep learning and figuring out!
This art piece matches well with the Lumpia but Fashion print.
